A fantastic and highly unusual antique cast iron fireplace surround and grate, dating from over 100 years ago.

This striking piece features a beautifully formed arched opening, intricate raised beaded decoration and a substantial cast iron construction. The lower section incorporates the original curved cast iron grate/basket.

The piece has developed a wonderful aged appearance over the years, with an authentic weathered finish, surface texture and patina that gives it plenty of character.
