Deliveries, Returns and Liability


Deliveries

Large deliveries may be sent on pallets which are shrink wrapped and secured safely to the base. Deliveries may arrive on several pallets or over-sized pallets depending on the size and amount of items. 

Otherwise, items will be sent via courier service. They will be shrink wrapped and delivered to the door.

Small vehicles will be used instead of arctic vehicles for better access to households and small businesses or where access is limited.

Prices are calculated at checkout based on the volume and the weight of the items. Where possible multiple items will be placed on one pallet. For example, stools or several chairs may be stacked  together.

Pallet deliveries are placed curb-side and are fully track-able by our team. Once delivered a signature may be required unless a safe place has been agreed between the customer and the delivery company prior to the items leaving the depot.

The delivery company will contact the customer to arrange a suitable day for delivery within a 3 day window where possible. The driver will call ahead 2 hours before they arrive with delivery.

Some items may be sent by courier dismantled / flat-packed to keep costs down as smaller and light items can then be collected and delivered by hand. Such as, small coffee tables or cast iron bases.

Deliveries can take up to 10 working days during busy times. Once dispatched items should arrive within 48 hours. Where possible the transport company will contact the customer via email or telephone to confirm a delivery within a further 3 day window of the customers choosing should they require an alternative day (subject to times of year and amount of items / pallets being delivered).

 

Purchases

Save as precluded by law, if the goods we deliver are not what you ordered or are damaged or defective or if the delivery is of an incorrect quantity you should notify us in writing at our contact address within ten working days of the delivery of the goods in question otherwise we shall have no liability to you. If you notify us of a problem under this condition our only obligation will be, at our option:

  • To make good any shortage or non-delivery
  • To replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective
  • To refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question If for what- ever reason we are not at fault Then a Credit Note may be given Any deposits made are non-refundable should you choose not to continue the order.
  • Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under this condition and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question where there is a liability under clause above.
  • When orders of mixed faux leather furniture are purchased together we can not guarantee a colour match.
  • As long as the refund meets our terms and conditions and items are sent back to base then a refund can be issued.

Not with-standing the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any statutory rights you might have as a consumer nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

Used Second-hand Items

The buyer has the opportunity to view all goods at our warehouse. We recommend all purchaser to view items before purchase; all used second-hand or refurbished items are sold as seen.  All items undergo a thorough inspection before they are sent.

New Items

We will not cover the cost of returning items to us however if after inspecting the item or items we confirm that a manufacturing fault is present we will cover the cost of returning new or repaired items to you.

Electrical Items

We sell all electrical items as seen. Items may require a professional electrical test in order to be used in commercial properties. We do not offer this service.

Incorrect Items

If we have sent you an incorrect item please notify our Customer Services Department as soon as possible or within 7 days and return the incorrect item to us and specify the correct details in writing. If you would like us to replace the incorrect item with the item you ordered we will send you the correct item as soon as possible.

Costs

Until you return items to us you are responsible for their safe keeping and taking reasonable care of them. We do not accept liability for returned packages damaged during transit back to us. It is your responsibility to wrap products adequately to prevent damage.

Events beyond our reasonable control

We will not be responsible to you for any delay or failure to comply with our obligations under these On-line Shopping Terms and Conditions if the delay or failure arises from any cause beyond our reasonable control.

Alterations to this Website and Terms and Conditions

We reserve the right at any time to make changes to this Website, these On-line Shopping Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and such other policies as we may notify you of. Changes which we are required to make by law could apply to orders which you have already made. If any of the terms and conditions forming the contract between us is deemed invalid, void or unenforceable for any reason, it will be deemed severable and not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining terms and conditions.
